In the upcoming legislative session, State Sen. Irene Aguilar, M.D. plans to propose a bill for a Colorado Health Care Cooperative that will go beyond the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act by covering every Coloradan, while increasing efficiency and taming costs. The Colorado Foundation for Universal Health Care is raising money for an economic analysis and implementation blueprints that will help voters understand the impact of the Colorado Health Care Cooperative.
